About
‘Never B Mine’ is a collaboration between producer GRIP TIGHT and singer/instrumentalist Martha Rose, teenage friends from the UK reunited in Berlin.
The track is a slow groove impression of an emotional recovery position, zooming out of a painful situation so that it no longer hurts.
It conjures up the nonchalance of ice cream melting in espresso, the luxury of oblivion in awe of the universe, and the satisfaction that comes with letting go.
With softly sung harmonies and a trashy 80s electric guitar solo, this song burns hot as a comet as it hurtles through the experiences of the human heart in sonic sympathy.
